What Is Lavender Tea?
Lavender tea is an herbal tea made from the dried flower buds of the lavender plant, the same fragrant herb used in gardens, soaps and cooking. On its own lavender can taste strong and a little soapy, so it is usually blended with other herbs and fruits to balance it.
That is what our Lavender Lemon Tea does: the lavender is softened and brightened by lemongrass and orange peel, sweetened naturally with apple, and finished with rosehips and blue cornflowers. It is floral without being perfumey, and it contains no tea leaves, so it is naturally caffeine-free.
Meet Our Lavender Lemon Tea
Open the bag and you get lavender first, then fresh lemongrass and citrus peel, with flecks of blue cornflower and red rosehip through the blend. Steeped, it brews a light golden cup. The flavor is soft and floral up front, with a bright lemon-citrus lift in the middle and a gently sweet apple finish. It is balanced and smooth, never soapy. Packed to order in 1 oz and 4 oz sizes.
How To Brew Lavender Lemon Tea
Hot: use 1 to 2 teaspoons per 8 oz of water just below boiling. Steep 3 to 5 minutes, then strain. Enjoy it plain or with a touch of honey, which brings out the lavender.
Iced: brew it double-strength, let it cool, and pour over ice, or cold brew 2 tablespoons in 32 oz of cold water in the fridge for 8 to 12 hours. Add a slice of lemon for extra brightness.
Lavender lemonade: brew a strong cup, cool it, and mix half and half with lemonade over ice.
